Nana's Funeral April 4, 2012

This was a very hard funeral to get through. She was a very good friend to me. It made me feel good that I had a good relationship with my mother in law Phyllis Mae Hill. I hope that her reunion was great with her two sons and husband, mother and more. Here are some of the pictures we took at her funeral.

Oh, boy I'm 50!!! this is kind of weird.

My 50th birthday started off really emotional. It was not what I expected. But then it got better. So you never know what is going to hit us woman. LOL LOL I have pictures of my birthday but I will put them on later. I will just be on this post putting on some flowers that I got. There were really beautiful. Then next post I will put on some fun pictures that my daughter took of my birthday. It is funny to see the baby picture of me and seeing that was 50 years ago. And then seeing how I have changed and what my family is today. I love my family.

Welcome to 2012

I know this is late but welcome to our new year. Christmas and New Years was fun but I'm glad to get my house and schedule back to normal. However, the first few months of this year will not be quiet. First of all Natasha and I are making memories blankets for a family that lost their mother, daughter and sister. It is a wonderful thing that somebody came up with the memory quilts. I wish I had one from when Phil and I were married but it is great that I can help somebody have some memories of their loved one. Second: I'm taking pictures that were sent to my mother in law and my mother and putting them in their scrapbooks for them. I love it. And I think they do too. And I'm trying to also finish scrap books for a friend of mine - she gave me her whole life of 70 year of pictures and I'm putting those in scrapbooks for her. Then I need to get back to my family's scrapbooks. Then Brittney and Natasha are really busy with getting the Hawthorne Cheerleaders ready for two competitions the first of February, and so I have been helping make pins for cheer families, going to practices to help, and taking pictures for Brittney's team. Nothing boring about being an almost an empty nester.
I hope that you all have a wonderful 2012. I am going to try and get a lot done on my genealogy, scrapbooks and just take care of my family. If you know me well you know that Family is really important to me. And I feel that this is where I should be. I wish more people felt that family (extended) family was important. I wish that I was closer to more of my extended family. But all that I have mentioned should keep me busy and that is important too. Anybody want to scrap book I'm going to in Feb. start having one Saturday a month to come and work at my house. We have had a lot of these at my home and it is really fun. Keep blogging I love reading your blogs and checking out your pictures of people in my life.

The Rodney Clark Family Dinner and Trip for my family

On the 11th of Nov. my family drove to Salt Lake. My mom wanted to have a dinner for all of her children, great grands and so on. We got together on the 12th of Nov, at my parents condo. They have a room there that you can use for events like this. Most of the family came (5 grandchildren were not there.) I miss seeing my family members. It was nice and it was great food and a lot of it. My mom always really well in planning meals like this. We were there together from 12 -4.
I wish that more of the grand children would of connected.
The best part was when we surprised my mom for her 80th birthday. Natasha - made a movie that was titled With Grandmother and then we gave her a willow statue - with grandmother. It was so fun. She had no idea. We watched the movie together and gave her the present. We laughed about some of the pictures and had a fun time remembering memories. I thank Natasha for taking the time to do this for my mom. I love to surprise people. And I think she was really pleased. I wish more of the family would of helped with getting us pictures. But I am glad that most everyone liked it. My mom's birthday isn't till Dec 23rd but we felt that we were all together that we needed to do it them. I loved it. Thanks Mom and Dad for working hard to keep your family together. I loved what mom said when she started the dinner. That we are going to be together forever as a family that we should care and love each other starting right now and staying together. I hope this happens we will see. I think that Satan is working hard on families together and not wanting families to stay in touch. But we will have to see. It has to be important to all sides. I will get some pictures on soon.
