One of the best weekends at the cabin!!!

This weekend I organized a get together with my cousin and sister. It was all my Clark 1st cousin - just the girls - well except a few extra visitors in and out. It turned out good.
Friday night, we met and Cindy Myers and Carla Hunter did dinner - it was great cheeseburger soup, with homemade rolls - a great way to start the weekend. Right before dinner started out cousin Jean from Canada dropped in. We were not expecting her because she emailed me and told me not too. But it was great to see her. It has been a long time for any of us to see her. We are so glad that she took the time. So at dinner we had 11 + Gregg - Jean's husband. It was great. We stayed up talking till 1:30 am. It was great to talk about memories and other things that we didn't know about each other.
Saturday, we got up and Callie and MaryJo and others fixed us breakfast - French toast with fruit - it was great. Then we visited - Nancy, Chris and Dianne, wanted us to come for lunch at their cabin - So around 1:00 we went over there and sat on the back deck and had lunch - sandwich, chips and vegatables - it was nice. Kaye and Sherri came and joined us there. It was great to have them for a few hours.
Dinner was Salmon thanks to Rita - it was awesome and fun with a salad, rice. What a dinner - Tom Gallup, and his brother and wife joined us that evening meal. We only talked till 11:30. and Callie had to leave and go home. We watched a DVD that my daughter did for my cousin Brenda . Brenda passed away in March but we wanted her to be part of the reunion.
Sunday morning was good - Kerry fixed breakfast and then everyone jumped in and helped me get the cabin clean - it was a catch up weekend for the cousin. I'm pleased that after talking things through we have decided to do it again next year. Around the same time of year and the same place. It was nice we could be together at one place and visit. I was surprised that we didn't do a lot of anything else but we all love the weekend. Next year we are voting that Ted L. do prawns for us like the Highwayman use to do. I would love it but I hope he will do shrimp cocktail too. This would be great. I hope we can get some of the others to come next year. They were missed. I know that some of the cousins that couldn't come had things in there family's they had to help with. So I'm hoping things will get better for them all and they can join us next year. Thanks for all your support that came!!!! Thanks to all the second generation for helping us have a fun game to get to know each other. It was great!!! Thanks Natasha!!! Thanks to my daughter Brittney for making the magnets. So all and all I had great support. Suggestions for next year would be appreciated cousins!!!!! Thanks!!!

WHAT A VIEW OF POCATELLO!!!

WELL I HAD AN ADVENTURE YESTERDAY. I DON'T THINK IN ALL MY YEARS OF LIVING IN POCATELLO, I HAVE SEEN SUCH A NICE VIEW OF POCATELLO. I DON'T KNOW THAT I WILL EVER SEE THE VIEW AGAIN. IT IS INTERESTING TO HIKE TO THE WHITE PILLARS AT IDAHO STATE UNIVERSITY. BUT THE VIEW IS AWESOME. YES, THIS OLD GRANDMA MADE IT UP THE HILL TO SEE IT.
THE REAL REASON I WAS UP THAT BIG HILL WAS TO TAKE CHEERLEADING PICTURES. BRITTNEY IS THE ASSISTANT COACH AT HAWTHORNE MIDDLE SCHOOL. SHE ASKED ME TO TAKE PICTURES OF THEIR GROUP. IT WAS FUN AND I HOPE THEY TURN OUT. I WILL SHARE THEM WITH YOU WHEN I GET THEM ARRANGED. THE GIRLS WERE FUN TO SHOOT. I DO HAVE SOME SHOTS OF THE VIEW FROM UP THERE. I HOPE TO USE ONE OF THE VIEWS THAT I TOOK FOR THE CLARK REAL ESTATE WEBSITE SO IF YOU HAVE A VOTE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OK. IT WAS QUIT THE ADVENTURE FOR THIS GRANDMA. THANKS BRITTNEY!!!

Clean the cabin!!!!

Well a few of us went up to the cabin this weekend. It was really pretty and the temp was really awesome. The cabin looks good and has less things to worry about. We got 4 of the snowmobiles down to get worked on. Things are put in an organize manner again. I didn't take many picture this weekend but I will put some on soon. We hope next year that you people that were busy can have the good opportunity to come and clean next year!!! Hee! Hee! The people that came this year - (Brittney, Casey, Trysten Baylee, Karen, Callie, Dan and Jalayne) it all went well. I think we got a lot done. The snowmobiles will be worked on at the end of this week and then we will bring the other two down. Thanks to Casey we had a big enough trailor to get 4 down. Then with lot of hard work, Dan, Jalayne and Casey got them on the trailor and Casey took them down to Idaho Falls. It was good. Well we will see you more next year. I know that we will all enjoy the cabin more with things clean and organized. See you all at the cabin I hope soon. Send me pictures once in a while if you go. Or write in volume 3 album up there about your feelings when you are up there. I will leave an acid free pen to use. I will put a few in the office desk drawer. I hope you will help family. The album won't be up there till the 25th of Sept. But then have fun. If you take people up there have then share in keep our memories in the album. Thanks, Have a good week.

MisUnderstood!!!

Boy, I have had a bad day today.
It was full of things that haven't
bugged me in a while. I just can't seem to feel that my
life has been worth something. And today just put another
nail in our I was feeling.

It seems like that nobody understands that little Karen Clark Hill wants to feel needed. Most people just don't understand me at all!! But when I try to help it just seems that I'm a pest or in the way. Then when I just sit back then most of the people that I'm around feel that I can't do anything. This keeps happening over and over again. I know what you are thinking that I just get to quit feeling sorry for myself. Well most of the people I'm around have never lived in my shoes. They can't say that. You trying being a 24 year old with two babies, working, and trying to keep your head above water. And then trying to be 47 years old and being a lone. Can any of the people that knows me really well can say that they know how all this feels. NO!!! They just keep telling me how I'm suppose to feel and what I'm suppose to do. I hope most of you never have live like I do. You know there are two things that I can say about my life. And that is that I have raise two daughters that have caring in their heart. They are fun to be with. I'm proud that I have two daughters that know when people are needing caring and loving. This is important to me. I'm sure that the people that I am around a lot will read this and say oh, Karen is having a pitty party. But I do want to feel needed. Most of you feel that because you have people around you all the time. So you don't know how it feels. Be a lone is sick! I had a daughter that needed to work on things for her self, and she did some things on the computer for me. I had another daughter that felt that I needed a friend tonight so she went to a show instead of doing what she wanted. They will never know how much their mother needed this today!!!!! Their dad was this way. Giving, caring and loving unconditionally. I wish more of us could be this way. When somebody is this way it awesome. It takes some of us a long time to work up to loving unconditionally. I know that I have two grandchildren that love unconditionally and I hope that they will keep this in their hearts for a long time. I wish that I was closer to some people. It is sad that when you feel like you are being a good friend, that things fall apart. It seems when I do my genealogy I feel needed. I'm not sure why sometimes I'm doing it but I do. Life has been I feel hard, I hope one day I will understand why?
You ask why I write this. Is because I think that in this life, we need to slow down and remember that we are here on earth to learn, grow, and get back to where we came from. And I believe we are not going to be asked how much money did we make, or how many clubs were you the head of, or were you the President of the USA. I think those things are great goals, but I think that we are going to be asked - How did you treat your fellow man or women? Where you caring? Did you help your neighbor with out anger? Did you care for people that you were called to serve? I think goals and being a part of a club, or organization is great. But how were we to the people that we were with? In a neighborhood, family and so on. Life is to short not to have people and compassion in them. No I'm not perfect in this I have a long way to go but I just feel that a lot of us are pushing a way family, friends and the important things of life.
I'm not a writer so this is hard for me to express. But I hope I have been even one person think about others, and what is important in life. I hope that one day I will find what I'm suppose to of learned from all that has happened to me in my life. CARING, LOVING, COMPASSION AND MAKING SURE WE ARE A GOOD PERSON FIRST IS THE WAY TO LIVE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RITA!!!!!

WE HOPE THAT RITA IS HAVING FUN

Happy Birthday Early Dad!!!!! His 80th

My dad is going to be 80 on the 17th of
September. My brothers were both
in town so we decided to take him to
dinner. We thought it would be
nice for it to be his four children and
my mother Kay. We went to the
Sandpiper. While there we had some
pictures taken of us for children and
all six of us. We gave my dad a copy
of each. They turned out pretty good.
I think my dad loved the evening with us.
